MLK Day Celebration

BurnsThe Weatherford/Parker County NAACP will hold its 19th Annual MLK, Jr. Day Celebration at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17 at Shirley Hall Middle School, 902 Charles St in Weatherford. This year’s panel speakers will be Lieutenant Charles Epperson of the Dallas Police Department, Chief Eddie Burns of the Dallas Fire Department, Tonya Veasey, President of Open Channels Group, and Charles Boswell, District Manager of the Office of Senator Wendy Davis. The day’s events will close at 5:30 p.m. with the MLK awards ceremony and talent show. This annual event is free and open to the public.
