Barbara Ann Schmidtzinsky went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2010 in Ft. Worth, Texas, after a multi-year battle with breast cancer.
Service: A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Parish, 16250 Old Weatherford Road, Aledo, Tx 76008. A separate memorial service will be scheduled for spring 2011 at Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu, New Mexico.

Barbara was born August 11, 1956 in Fredericksburg, Tx and moved to Aledo, Tx in 1967. She had many interests and an active work life, teaching high school math for 22 years, retiring from teaching in 2000. She was on staff at the Ghost Ranch Education and Conference Center in New Mexico for the last 10 years, as their archivist and as Assistant Program Director for their courses.
Barbara is preceded in death by her father, Charles Schmidtzinsky, and grandparents Anton and Augusta Schmidtzinsky and Helmuth and Elsie Klinksiek.
She is survived by her mother Beatrice Schmidtzinsky; sisters Geri Schmidtzinsky, Sheila Hill, Gail Arnold, and her husband Lewis; a niece and nephews, Jeffrey Barrow, Travis Hill, Lee, Elizabeth and Joseph (Joey) Arnold; long-time friends Robin Wilson and Mary Hunter. Barbara loved and was loved by those that shared her life.
