The East Parker County Chamber of Commerce has had quite a week. Not only did the chamber celebrate its 10th anniversary with a banquet last Friday, March 9, handing out awards to community leaders, but it too received a special recognition from the state.
The State House this week honored the chamber with a congratulatory resolution for its decade of service to the community.
The measure (HR 650), authored by Rep. Phil King (R-Weatherford), says that the chamber “plays a vital role in assisting local businesses and promoting economic expansion.”
“In addition to helping recruit new industry and commercial enterprises, the organization provides its members with numerous opportunities to share experiences, promote their businesses, and collaborate with others in building a stronger community,” the resolution states.
The resolution was officially placed on the Legislature’s Congratulatory and Memorial Calendar on Thursday, March 15.
