“The Kindley Family was greatly touched by the Aledo Community during the time we lived there from 1995 thru 2007. Now that all of our family members reside in different locations (New Hampshire, Chicago, Austin) we still feel very attached to the Aledo area and want to give back to this fine community through support of the art students in the local school districts,” said Lois Kindley.
More than 30 students applied for the scholarships this year. Fifteen have been chosen as finalists and ten will be selected as recipients. All applicants were asked to send in three digital images along with essays, applications about art and its impact in their lives.
