Help sought in burglary investigation

November 7, 2010 by Randy Keck

Parker County Sheriff’s investigators are seeking the public’s help in locating and identifying suspect(s) involved in a burglary of a building on Thursday, Nov. 4 in the 6200 block of Interstate 20 between Ranch House Road and FM 1187.

Sheriff Larry Fowler said concrete company employees reported unknown suspect(s) had forcefully entered the building and a utility trailer sometime overnight and stole a large amount of tools and equipment.

A list of stolen items included a welder, a power washer, numerous impact wrenches, a saw, socket sets, drills, hand grinders, gauges, pipe wrenches, an air cutter, an air scraper and a battery charger, estimating more than a $50,000 loss of property.

Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division investigators are following up on leads.

“We encourage citizens to call the sheriff’s office if they have any information regarding this incident,” Fowler said. “Many cases have been solved with the public’s help and the assistance of Parker County Crime Stoppers.”

Callers may remain anonymous by calling the Parker County Crime Stoppers Hotline at 817-599-5555. Crime Stoppers will pay a reward for any information leading to the arrest and indictment of the suspect(s) involved.
