From the office of County Judge Mark Riley:
Beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2013, Parker County residents looking for financial assistance with storm shelters/safe rooms can sign up with an online waitlist through the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG).
Those wishing to be placed on the Parker County waitlist will need to log on to www.nctsaferoom.com on or after 7 p.m., Friday June 28, 2013. No documentation will be required to be on the waitlist, just name and address only. Those without internet access may call the NCTCOG Emergency Preparedness department at 817-695-9235.
Once the waitlist opens, it will not close, according to NCTCOG officials.
NCTCOG officials say it may take 3 to 18 months for those who sign up to be contacted once residents have placed their name on the waiting list.
To participate applicants must be living or developing in Parker County and must not be living in a 100 year floodplain.
