Macbeth auditions

Theatre Off The Square announces auditions for Macbeth by William Shakespeare, co-directed by Edwina Himes and Hank Baldree. Auditions will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 19-20, at Theatre Off The Square, 114 N. Denton St. in Weatherford.

Rehearsals are scheduled for March 19 – April 26, with performances on April 27-28 at the Shakespeare in the Park Festival at Weatherford’s Heritage Park Amphitheater. The audition will consist of a cold read from the script. No accents are required. Please come prepared with a list of any conflicts between March 19 and April 28.

All roles are available:

• The Three Witches, age 18-80, female;
• Three Apparitions, ages 18-80, male or female;
• Macbeth, tragic focus of the play, age 25-50, male
• Lady Macbeth, Macbeth’s wife age 25-50, female
• Gentlewoman, Attends to Lady Macbeth, age 18-80, female
• King Duncan, King of Scotland Loyal but naïve, trusting king, age 40-80, male
• Malcom, Son of King Duncan, age 20-40, male
• Donalbain, Son of King Duncan, age 20-40, male
• Macduff, Nobleman of Scotland, age 30-50, male
• Lady MacDuff, MacDuff’s wife, age 25-45, female
• Boy, Son of MacDuff, age 10-15, male
• Banquo, Loyal friend of Macbeth, age 20-80, male
