A special screening of Angel’s Perch, an independent film that depicts one family’s plight with Alzheimer’s disease, will be presented free of charge at City Lights Theatre in Hudson Oaks Thursday, Aug. 21 at 6 p.m. Angel’s Perch is being shown to promote participation in the 2014 Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, according to Linda Snow. Linda and her husband, Gary, are serving as honorary chairs of this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which is scheduled Saturday, Sept. 27 at Weatherford College. Movie attendees will be encouraged to sign up for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which is the largest annual event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Reservations for Angel’s Perch are required, and may be made by calling the Alzheimer’s Association at (817) 336-4949 or 1-800-272-3900.
