Making Salsas and Drying Fruits, Vegetables and Herbs will be held Friday, July 18. The class will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and will cost $20. The registration will include recipes, canning supplies, ingredients and handouts. Participants should bring a sack lunch. The workshop will be held at the Parker County Agricultural Service Center, 604 North Main Street in Weatherford.
The workshop will cover the basics of making salsas and the principles of drying/dehydrating foods. Participants will have the opportunity to make several kinds of salsas and practice dehydrating foods.
Participants who have water bath canners and/or dehydrators are asked to bring them in case they are needed for the workshop.
