JV, 5 p.m.
9th, 5 p.m.
The Parker County Hospital District will be offering seasonal flu vaccines from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, September 14, at three locations in Parker County. This is the second year to provide drive-thru flu shots in Aledo, Brock and Springtown. The convenience of staying in your vehicle while getting vaccinated was the draw for the 300+ that attended last year. The Hospital District utilizes the Emergency Management model designed for emergency/disaster to provide this drive-thru service. Flu vaccinations will be offered for those 9 to 18 years old at no cost and adults at $15. Blue Cross Blue Shield, United, Cigna and Medicare can be filed.
The clinic locations are:
Aledo: Bearcat Stadium parking lot (1000 Bailey Ranch Road)
Brock: 400 Eagle Spirit Lane
Springtown: 501 Pojo Drive (Springtown ISD Transportation barn)
Hospital District CEO Randall Young said, “With all the media attention about the new 4 strain flu vaccine and the importance in getting it, we encourage the public to come out this Saturday. Last year was the first year and the numbers were less than expected. We want to grow this event each year and possibly expand in adding additional locations throughout Parker County.”
