Parker County, the Peach Capital of Texas, will hold the annual Parker County Peach Festival from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, in Historic Downtown Weatherford. Tickets are $5 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Want a $1 discount? Purchase your tickets directly from the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce (401 Fort Worth Highway) for $4. The day in the sun includes more than 200 arts and crafts, food and activity booths, live music and, of course, plenty of peach treats.
The 25th annual Peach Pedal, benefitting the Weatherford College Foundation, starts at staggered times throughout the morning depending on mileage. Bikers choose from four routes: 9 miles, 26 miles, 39 miles and a 100K route (just over 62 miles). Online registration is available until Thursday, July 11. Register for June 29 to get the early discounted price of $25. Regular registration through July 12 costs $30 and ride-day registration costs $35.
