The Women’s Business Alliance of the East Parker County Chamber of Commerce will hold a luncheon highlighting local charities at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24 at The Parker Room of the Fire Oak Grill in Weatherford. Representatives of local charities including Center of Hope, Freedom House, CASA, United Way, Aledo Children’s AdvoCats, Parker Paws, Texas Pythian Home, Grace House, Big Brothers/Sisters and the Careity Foundation will be at the event to explain their missions and needs. Cost is $15 for Women’s Business Alliance members and $20 for non-members.
