Frac Tech Services International on Nu Energy Road in Aledo has applied to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for a permit that would allow for the release of "hazardous air pollutants" into the air.
Frac Tech performs hydraulic fracturing on gas wells.
TCEQ has deemed the application administratively complete and will conduct a technical review of the application.
Persons who may be affected by the permit may submit public comments, request a public meeting, or request a contested case hearing to the Office of the Chief Clerk.
Public comments and requests must be submitted either electronically at www.tceq.texas.gov/about/comments.html, or in writing to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, Office of the Chief Clerk, MC-105, P.O. Box 13087, Austin, Texas, 78711-3087.

The TCEQ will consider all public comments in developing a final decision on the application. The deadline to submit public comments is 30 days from July 6, 2012.
