From the City of Aledo:
As you may know, Aledo’s newest attraction, Urban Farmers’ Market, begins tomorrow. The market, showcasing local homegrown produce and art, will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 7 along North Front Street. The Market will take place every Saturday through October. Each Saturday, we will have live music from 9:30 a.m. – noon.
The “upscale” and “intimate” market will offer works of art and other specialty items as well as homegrown local produce from our featuring Producer, Jazbac Farm (a Parker County family farm).
Products offered will include custom knives, belt buckles and jewelry, handmade blankets and pillowcases, organic goat milk soaps and specialty coffees. Mary’s Tamales and Cup & Cake Coffeehouse & Bakery will be there, along with a juicer who sells smoothies.
This is all about a movement in Aledo to make people aware of how shopping locally can stimulate the economy. See you at the Market!
