Fans of Aledo High School diamond sports will have two choices today as both the Bearcats baseball team and the Ladycats softball team will play host in District 8-5A action at the AHS sports complex.
The state-ranked No. 1 Ladycats will bring a 5-0 district mark into the contest against 1-4 Granbury. The first pitched is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The 3-0 Bearcats will take on 2-1 Crowley as Aledo tries to stay on top of the 8-5A standings.
The first pitch is set for 7:30 p.m.

Running events will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the 3,200-meter run followed by the scheduled order of the remainder of the running events.
The Bearcats/Centennial baseball game is tentatively rescheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday at the Aledo High School baseball field, weather permitting.
The softball make-up game has yet to be rescheduled.
The Bearcats and Ladycats soccer teams will play at Cleburne today. The boys' contest starts at 5:30 p.m. followed by the girls' match at 7:30 p.m.
Aledo High School will host the Bearcat Relays on Friday, March 20 at Bearcat Stadium.
Field events will begin at 3:15 p.m. with running finals scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. Running finals will not begin until the conclusion of long jump and triple jump field events.
