The Aledo Bearcats football teams will fine tuning their players this Friday night with a scrimmage in Denton. Aledo will be facing the defending class 4A state champions, The Denton Guyer Wildcats. The scrimmages begin at 5:30 with the freshman.

Tickets for the Tom Landry Classic at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31 at Allen Stadium, are now on sale. The game will feature the Aledo Bearcats vs. the Highland Park Scots. Pre-sale tickets are available at the Bearcat Store, located in the Aledo ISD Administration Building on Bailey Ranch Road, Tuesday-Thursday 8-4 and Fridays 8-1. Pre-sale tickets will be available at Aledo High School on Aug. 28-29 from 8-4 and on Aug. 30 from 8-1.
Adult tickets are $8 and student tickets are $6. All tickets at the gate will be $10, and parking at the stadium is $5. Aledo will sit on the home side.
Fans purchasing 10 or more pre-sale tickets to the game will be included in a raffle to win a Jason Witten signed football.

Aledo defeated El Paso Chapin 4-1 in game one of the three-game Regional Semifinal series in Odessa. Game two will be Saturday at 1 p.m. and can be heard on Internet radio at http://tsrnsports.com/Broadcast/Broad-SER.htm
The Ladycats varsity softball team will play El Paso Chapin in this weekend's regional semifinals. All games will be played at Ratliff Field in Odessa. The first match of the three-game series is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, May 17. The second game will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 18, and a third game, if needed, will start 30 minutes after the second game. Check community-news.com for updates.
After defeating Burleson Centennial in the bi-district round of the playoffs, the Aledo Bearcats will play the Birdville Hawks in a best-of-three series for the Area Championship. Game one is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 10 at Birdville. Game two will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 11 in Aledo. Game three, if necessary, will be played immediately after game two.
