Christian Blues and Southern Gospel will be performed at the next Parker County Live show from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, June 22 at the Texas Opry Theater, 315 York Ave. in Weatherford.

The show will feature The Websters, the Parker County Live Band as well as the “PCL Ladies Trio” in addition to the special feature for the afternoon, Cadillac Johnson & The Revelators.

“Cadillac has a story to share, and a past with bands like ZZ Top and more,” said Don Webster, promoter of the event.

All seating is general admission, and tickets are $15 and $10 for seniors 60 or older. Tickets may be purchased online by going to www.parkercountylive.org. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.

The next Parker County Live show has been scheduled from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, at the Texas Opry Theater. The show will present a variety of music, including country, gospel and individual instrumental talent.

The show will feature a live "house band" and great local and regional talent. All seating is general admission, and tickets are $15 and $10 for seniors 60 years old and up. Tickets may be purchased online by going to www.parkercountylive.org. Tickets may also be purchased at the door (at no extra cost).

Tribute artist “Walkin' The Line" will bring a tribute to Johnny Cash at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb 23 at the Texas Opry Theater, 315 York Ave. in Weatherford.

Entertainer and tribute artist, Bennie Wheels, brings back to life the look, voice, and charisma of the young Johnny Cash during the “Folsom Prison Era.“

Johnny Cash would have been 81 on Feb. 26.

‘Once Upon a Dream’ plays at Texas Opry Theatre July 23

Sherill Douglas, known as the number one Patsy Cline impersonator in the world, will perform two shows on Saturday, July 23 at the Texas Opry Theatre in Weatherford.

Douglas will perform a “dream concert” that will feature her impersonation of Loretta Lynn in the first half of the show, and Patsy Cline after intermission.

The show will include many of Lynn’s hits like “Coal Miners Daughter,” “Fist City,” “You Ain’t Woman Enough,” “Don’t Come Home a Drinkin’ ,” “One’s on the Way” and “Blue Kentucky Girl.” Favorites from Cline will include “Crazy,” “Sweet Dreams,” “I Fall to Pieces” and “Walkin’ After Midnight.”

Fans of the “Big Band” era will have an opportunity to hear the hits of such artists as Count Basie, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington and the Dorsey Brothers when the Langdon Center Big Band from Granbury visits the Texas Opry in Weatherford on June 18.
During its five year of existence, the Langdon Center Big Band (LCBB) has put together a show reminiscent of the famous USO Shows of the early forties featuring selections such as “In the Mood,” “Pennsylvania 6-5000,” “American Patrol,” “String of Pearls” and many others.
