Parker County Republican Women present Professor Jeffry Addicott, director of the Center for Terrorism Law at St. Mary's University School Of Law, Thursday, Aug. 13 at 11:30 a.m. at the Doss Heritage and Culture Center, 1400 Texas Dr. Weatherford.
Addict is a U.S. Army retired lieutenant colonel, was in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps for 20 years, senior legal advisor to U.S. Army’s Special Forces, speaks worldwide and testifies before Congress on legal issues, and has made various media appearances including FOX News.
He is the recipient of St. Mary’s Alumni Association’s 2007 School of Law Distinguished Faculty Award, awarded each year to the distinguished law faculty member.

Parker County Republican Women host Barry Smitherman Thursday, May 14 at 11:30 a.m. at the Doss Heritage Center to speak on why oil and natural gas prices have fallen and what that means for the Texas economy, including electric bills.

Parker County Republican Women host Amy Clark, vice chair of the Republican Party of Texas, Thursday, April 9 at the Doss Heritage Center, 1400 Texas Drive, Weatherford. Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. and the community is welcome. RSVP to Sonja Davis at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Clark is a sixth generation Texan, born and raised in Dallas County, and graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio. She worked in the Washington, D.C., area with the National Rifle Association. Upon moving back to Texas, she continued working with The NRA Foundation as a consultant. She took on a number of roles in various marketing projects and campaigns before embarking on her most important and rewarding adventure as a stay-at-home mom.

Parker Country Republican Women welcome guest speaker Sr. Trooper Texas Highway Patrolman Dub Gillum March 12 at 11:30 a.m. Lunch is served and the community is welcome.
Gillum has been stationed in Granbury for 24 years and serves as the Safety Education and Public Information Officer for DPS as well as the Disaster and Emergency Management Coordinator for eight counties and Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant. The majority of his time is spent educating the public on topics like Driving Safety, Alcohol & Drugs and Occupant Protection. Gillum is a police instructor and holds a Master Police Officer Certification, with specialties in Officer Survival, Dangerous Drugs and Child Transportation Safety.

The speaker for January is Loren Spivack. Spivack "The Free Market Warrior,” was born and raised in Massachusetts and spent most of his adult life in New York City. Before becoming active in politics, Spivack worked for several non-profits and as a management consultant for profit and non-profit companies.
Spivack founded "Free Market Warrior" in 2009 in an effort to make a positive difference in American politics and economics.

Parker County Republican Women announce Janine and Juliette Turner as guest speakers for the December monthly meeting. Turner had previously been scheduled to speak in October but was unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances.
Janine Turner is an Emmy and three-time Golden Globe nominated actress most known for her beloved performance as Maggie O'Connell in Northern Exposure. Other memorable credits include Cliffhanger, Leave it to Beaver, Dr. T & the Women, Steel Magnolias, and Friday Night Lights. At age 16, Juliette is the bestselling author of "Our Constitution Rocks!" and has a new book titled, "Our Presidents Rock!" As a dynamic duo, the Turners mix pop culture and American history to engage citizens to get involved.

The luncheon is Thursday, Oct. 9 at the Doss Heritage Center, 1400 Texas Ave. in Weatherford. Fellowship is at 11 a.m. with lunch at 11:30 and the speaker at noon.
As a single mother, Turner, inspired by her father, a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and Air Force hero, has championed the cause of preserving American principles with her foundation, Constituting America, her radio show The Janine Turner Show and as a columnist and political pundit.
