Parker County Fire Fighters
Sat, 10/06/2012 (All day)
The Second Annual Hook & Ladder Golf Tournament for the Parker County Firefighter Benevolent Fund, Inc. will be held Saturday, Oct. 6 at Sugar Tree Golf Course.
All profits raised at this event are going directly to the Parker County Firefighter Benevolent Fund, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to supporting all Parker County firefighters and their families.
The Parker County Firefighter Benevolent Fund was founded in 2009 after holding a BBQ Benefit for a member of the firefighter community needing a kidney transplant. It was after that benefit that it was realized a need existed for support of firefighters and their families in the community.
About ninety percent of the firefighters in Parker County are volunteers. They continuously give time, money, and support to their fire departments and other neighboring departments.
All donations and funds raised at this event go directly to Parker County Firefighters who are injured or killed in the line of duty or who are experiencing an extreme hardship. These monies will help offset the financial burden of the firefighter in need to alleviate the hardship on them and their families during what may be a very difficult time in their lives.
