The Parker County Aggie Moms Club is hosting its annual Howdy Party Sunday, July 20 at 5 p.m. at the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse Clubhouse in Weatherford. Headlining the event will be Texas A&M graduate and speaker Mayor Laura Maczkas of Richardson and Yell Leaders from Texas A&M Galveston. Live music will be provided by local band Brushfire. As the highlight of the evening, more than $16,000 in scholarships for returning and incoming Parker County Aggie students will be presented.
All event proceeds go toward the PCAM scholarship fund benefiting Parker County Aggies and student clubs at the university. The club exists to support students in Parker County and Texas A&M University through scholarships, care packages during finals, support for parents and other activities. In addition to sales of their exclusive Aggie Mom logo boots, the Howdy Party is their largest fundraiser during the year.
A catered barbecue dinner and silent auctions featuring Texas A&M-themed items and sports tickets will be included, with a “50/50 Raffle” and drawings held throughout the evening for gift cards and other prizes. A highly-sought-after mounted print of Aggie Heisman Trophy winners John David Crow and Johnny Manziel, complete with autographs, will be offered during a live auction to cap off the fundraising efforts.
All A&M former students, parents, families and Aggie enthusiasts are invited to attend. Tickets are $20 each ($10 for children 12 and under) and can be purchased in advance from PCAM President Laurie Egner, 817-825-4857 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Parker County Aggie Mom’s Club Howdy Party will be Monday, July 18 at 6 p.m. at Railhead Restaurant in Willow Park.
