Peach Pedal alters routes

July 2, 2015 by Phil Major

Event Date:
Sat, 07/11/2015 - 7:30am

The 27th annual Peach Pedal Bike Ride in Weatherford is scheduled Saturday, July 11, and organizers have made a few changes to the back end of the route due to road construction.
In previous years, three of the four routes took riders eastbound on Old Brock Road, through Dennis Road, on to Dean Road and then south on Old Dennis. Because of construction on Old Brock, the ride will detour north on Dennis Road to Ranger Highway, northeast to the Ric Williamson Highway and then south back down to Dean Road. The routes continue on their normal path from that point back to the start/finish line at Weatherford High School.
Residents who live near Ranger Highway and the southern portion of Ric Williamson are asked to be cautious when driving in the area on the morning of the ride.
