The Parker County Breast Health Coalition will present a Breast Cancer Screening Day and Health Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2 at Texas Health Neighborhood Care and Wellness in Willow Park. Most insurance is accepted, and fully funded mammograms are available for those who qualify.
Women who are 35 years of age and older who have no personal history of breast cancer, have no breast implants, have no known breast lumps or other breast problems, are not pregnant and have not breast fed in the last six months and who have not received a mammogram in the last 12 months are eligible for the

State Rep. Phil King will be the presenter when the 2015 Parker County Tree of Angel® Ceremony, supporting victims and survivors of violent crime, will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8 at the Doss Heritage and Culture Center in Weatherford.
The offices of the Parker County and District Attorney, Weatherford Police Department, Community Supervisions and Corrections, REACT, and Freedom House will acknowledge and honor the victims and survivors. Participants are encouraged to bring an ornament to place on the tree in tribute.

The Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (TCAP) will hold a spay/neuter clinic on Nov. 16 at the Harberger Hill Community Center, 701 Narrow St. in Weatherford. In recognition TCAP’s 13th birthday, all spays and neuters are just $13.
Pets must be between the ages of 10 weeks and five years and weigh between two and 80 pounds with no pre-existing health conditions to qualify for this special. Only four pets per owner, per day.
The Parker County Soil and Water Conservation District #558 will meet in an open board meeting at 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5 in the Conference Room located in the Agricultural Services Center, 604 North Main St., Suite 100, Weatherford. The public is invited to attend.
Parker County Gold Star Families will host a 5K at 7 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 at Shirley Hall Middle School in Weatherford.
All proceeds will go toward the fallen soldier's memorial being built at Veteran's Memorial Park in Weatherford. The memorial will host the names of local Parker County Soldiers who have paid the ultimate cost and provide a place of peace for friends and families to honor them.

The Iron Skillet Restaurant in Weatherford will host a classic car show featuring the Parker County Cruisers from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 at the Petro Parking Lot, 2001 Santa Fe Drive. In addition, historic military vehicles will also be on display. The restaurant will also provide a free meal ($15 value) during the event to all veterans in attendance. Proper I.D. or photo in uniform will be required.
Award categories for cars in the show include Best Decorated, Best Interior, Best Paint, Ladies’ Choice, Gents’ Choice, Best Original Equipped, Best Modified, Best Military Vehicle, Crowd Favorite, Managers’ Choice and Iron Skillet Best of Show.
Additional activities include a prize spinning wheel benefitting Parker Paws, face painting and massage therapist.

The Carswell Retired Officer Wives Club meets for fellowship, lunch and program at 11:15 a.m. the second Tuesday of each month at the Woman’s Club of Fort Worth. Mother of Serenity Court #2466 – Catholic Daughters of the Americas will host an old-fashioned church bazaar and craft fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31 at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1802 Bethel Road in Weatherford.
The event features handmade crafts and food booths, face painting, dunking for apples, horseshoe tossing, trinkets sale, knitted items and apple craft contest. In addition, Parker County Cruisers will be on hand with an antique car show. Children will be able to participate in an apple costume contest, and everyone will enjoy the bake sale, pie contest and apple dessert contest.
