Knights of Columbus Charity Golf Tournament

The Knights of Columbus Council 7264 of Weatherford will hold its 15th annual Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, Oct 17 at Split Rail Golf Course in Annetta.

The event starts with registration, coffee and donuts at 7:30 a.m. followed by tee-off at 8:30 a.m. Knights will cook and serve lunch following the round of golf. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, third and last place. The top raffle prize is a round of golf for three at Colonial Country Club. Proceeds benefit Parker County Charities.

Cost is $75 per player, teams $300, and a arrange of sponsorships from $100 to $2000.

TCU hitting coach Bill Mosiello will conduct a session on “Developing the Collegiate and Minor League Baseball Player” and Michael Richards, owner of Salt County Sports Performance, will conduct velocity and accuracy training. Openings in Ladies Tennis League

The fifth annual Ride United bike ride benefiting the United Way of Parker County will begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse Arena, 2251 Mineral Wells Hwy in Weatherford. POW/MIA Ceremony

The Harold L. Gregory Memorial Post 626 and Auxiliary Unit 626 of the American Legion will hold a twilight ceremony to salute American service members who were prisoners of war and those still missing in action at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18 at the Post 626 Legion Hall, 1125 Burton Hill Road, Fort Worth. The ceremony is designed to provide an opportunity for the people in the Fort Worth area to honor America’s missing service members and their families, while highlighting the government’s commitment to account for them. Texas Girls’ Choir auditions

The Texas Girls’ Choir will kick off their annual fall auditions for new members with a “Rally Day” Party at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29 at their headquarters, 4449 Camp Bowie Blvd, in Fort Worth. Girls who are interested in auditioning and their families are invited to attend. A style show of the choir’s uniforms, a “pep rally,” refreshments, a video of the choir’s recent tours and a brief performance by the choir is planned. Girls age 8 through 12 who love to sing can audition at the end of the event at noon.

County SWCD holding monthly meeting

Back-to-school clinics set

Free immunizations will be offered to those 4-18 years old (with current shot record).
