Women in God’s Word and Fellowship (WiGWaF) will host a community-wide Bible study for women from 9:30 a.m to 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday mornings from Sept. 5 to April 17 at the First Baptist Chuch of Aledo, located at 128 Elm Street. Childcare is provided by reservation. The fall study will deal with Jacob, Egypt, and The Sovereignty of God. The spring study will be on the Exodus from Egypt, Moses, and God’s Mercy. First Baptist Church of Aledo will host a bone marrow registry drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26. Bone marrow testing consists simply of paperwork and a mouth swab – no blood is drawn. The right match can save a life.

Kelli Lawrence will be the guest speaker at the Just Women Holiday Brunch from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5 at First Baptist Church in Aledo. Lawrence is the head of Fighting for Success Ministries, a speaking and teaching ministry. All women of the community are invited to attend the brunch. First Baptist Church of Aledo will have Vacation Bible School this summer from 9:20 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. on June 27-30 for ages 3 years old and potty trained through completed grade 6. The theme will be Second Hand Ranch. For more information visit www.fbcaledo.com.

Laurie Cole, founder and president of Priority Ministries of Houston will be the keynote speaker at the first Women’s Conference (There is a Season), sponsored by the Just Women’s Ministry of First Baptist Church in Aledo on Saturday, March 5 from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
Heather Regimbald, FBC Aledo Volunteer and Conference Committee Chairman, said the event is an all-inclusive (non-denominational) session open to all women of Parker County.
“The goal of the conference is to inspire, love and encourage women toward a deeper relationship with God,” Regimbald said.
In addition to Cole, many of the women headlining the event are local.
