Bush Legacy Republican Women of Weatherford are meeting Thursday, May 15 at 11:30 a.m. at the Doss Center Heritage Hall. Bush Legacy Republican Women will visit the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum Saturday, Jan. 18, leaving Weatherford at 8:30 a.m. at a location to be determined, and returning late in the afternoon.
Cost is $50 per person and includes transportation to/from Dallas, snacks on the bus, and admission to the library and museum.
Deadline to reserve a place on the bus is Wednesday, Jan. 8.

The BLRWW Annual Christmas Party for Members and guests will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 331 Clear Lake Lane, Weatherford. RSVP to Lori Gross at email@example.com or 817-613-1098. Members are asked to bring finger food. Coffee and tea will be provided; BYOB optional. The party will include the installation of 2014 officers and a chance at door prizes for renewed memberships. Phil KingState Rep. Phil King (R-Weatherford) will be the featured speaker at the Bush Legacy Republican Women luncheon at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19 at the Doss Heritage and Culture Center in Weatherford.
As State Representative for the 61st District, Phil King represents the people of Parker and Wise counties in the Texas Legislature. He serves on the Energy Resources and Pensions committees. He also serves on the board of directors for the American Legislative Exchange Council, the Texas Conservative Coalition Research Institute, and as vice-chair of the Texas Legislative Tea Party Caucus. King serves as a Lt. Colonel in the Texas State Guard, one of three branches of the Military Forces of the State of Texas.

Gary Miller and his wife Dana
The Bush Legacy Republican Women of Weatherford will welcome Gary Miller at its November Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15 at the Doss Heritage and Culture Museum. A strong conservative Republican, Gary Miller and his wife Dana, believe the hope of the world is the local church, and the strength of the church is sustained by praying people.
For 30 years, the Millers have invested their lives in the pastoral ministry of churches in Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona and Georgia. They have taught extensively on the role of prayer in spiritual awakening, counseled people to build strong marriages by equipping husbands and wives to pray together and have ministered internationally in Hong Kong, Japan, Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia and Switzerland.

The Bush Legacy Republican Women will host their second annual Masquerade Ball and Casino Gala from 7-11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29 at the home of Elyse and Marcus Carter, 3015 W. FM 5. The evening under the stars will feature music, casino, silent auction, and hor’doevers catered by Michael Thomson of Michael’s Restaurant. A cash bar will be available. Zan Prince, Parker County Republican Chair, will share highlights of the 2012 Republican National Convention and discuss party unity and opportunities to win the White House and the Senate in November at the regular monthly meeting of the Bush Legacy Republican Women at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20. The meeting will be held at the Doss Heritage and Culture Center in Weatherford.
Prince, along with David Barton, represented Parker County as delegates to the convention.
Prince has served as chairman of the Parker County Republican Party since 2004. She has campaigned for candidates and causes both in our county, across the state and the nation. Zan is a past President of the Parker County Republican Women and a Charter Member of the Bush Legacy Republican Women. She has lobbied elected officials from the White House to the courthouse to make decisions for families and businesses that are make our communities a better place to live and work. She has also been an agent and registered representative for New York Life since 1988.
Prince has served in many capacities including fundraising and committee or board service in organizations all across Parker County such as her local church, First Baptist Church Aledo, Cub Scouts, Independent Bankers Association of Texas, Texas Bankers Association, the Future Gen Project, 4-H, Civic Development, The Parker County Health Foundation, Business and Professional Women, Zonta Club of Parker County and the local Chambers of Commerce.

David Barton, founder of Wallbuilders in Aledo, will speak to the Bush Legacy Republican Women of Weatherford at their monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 19 at the Doss Heritage and Culture Center in Weatherford.
WallBuilders is a national pro-family organization that focuses on American history with an emphasis on our moral, religious, and constitutional heritage.
Barton is the author of numerous best-selling books, with the subjects being drawn largely from his massive library-museum of tens of thousands of original writings, documents, and artifacts from early America. He also addresses well over 400 groups each year. Time Magazine named him as one of America’s 25 most influential evangelicals.
