Local, state and national candidates are invited to attend and participate in a Candidate Forum for contested races only at the Bush Legacy Republican Women's monthly luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21 at the Doss Heritage and Culture Center, 1400 Texas Drive, Weatherford.
Reservations are required in advance and the catered lunch is $15 at the door. The Candidate Forum will be in a round-robin fashion giving candidates more one-on-one time with the audience. (Unopposed candidates are welcome to attend and will be recognized.)

The Bush Legacy Republican Women of Weatherford will hold their first Red Boot Soiree from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Canyon West Golf Clubhouse.
Impressionist and comedian Johnny Counterfit will entertain guests with music and comedy. Chef Britton Schweitzer will provide a chicken fried steak dinner. The event will have a cash bar and silent auction.
Admission is $60, which is not tax deductible.

Bush Legacy Republican Women of Weatherford are hosting the third annual Freedom Celebration Saturday, June 27 at 10 a.m. at the Parker County courthouse lawn to honor veterans, patriots, elected officials and others by placing flags on the courthouse lawn in honor and memory of those who have helped to make America and Parker County great. Bush Legacy Republican Women are having a mixer, meet and greet at Rio Mambo in Weatherford Monday, April 6 at 5:30 p.m.
Bush Legacy Republican Women of Weatherford meet Thursday, Jan. 15 at 7 p.m. at the Doss Heritage and Culture Center in Weatherford. The speaker will be County Judge Mark Riley discussing transportation issues. Riley is vice chairman of the Regional Transportation Council and serves on the Tarrant Regional Transportation Coalition. Prior to the meeting will be the Sawyer Family Band, an award winning local group who sing and play many instruments.

The next meeting and last regular meeting of the year for Bush Legacy Republican Women of Weatherford is Thursday, Nov. 20 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Doss Heritage and Culture Center, 1400 Texas Drive, Weatherford.
The speaker will be Mia McCord, chief of staff for Sen. Kelly Hancock in the Texas Senate and wife of John McCord, political director of the Republican Party of Texas. She has worked with candidates at the state and federal levels.
There will also be a dessert auction. Need desserts for Thanksgiving?
