The Jeff Mittie Summer Basketball Academy for boys and girls entering grades 5-12 will be at Aledo High School on June 6-9th, 13-16, 20-23 and 27-30 from 8:45 to 10 a.m. Cost is $250 for registration prior to June 1 and $300 after June 1. Mrs. Schweitzer’s Marine Biology Camp will be June 22-23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is $65, and campers should bring a sack lunch. Campers will uncover the world below the ocean and follow the “Voyage of the MIMI” discoveries.

"Egg"ceptional Bird Camp

The “Egg”ceptional Bird class for grades K-7 will be June 20-21 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Aledo Middle School. Cost is $40. Examine an owl pellet, write with feathers and play the beak game. Campers will discover the world of an ornithologist with Mrs. Schweitzer.

Session IV of Mrs. Schweitzer’s Rocketry Camp for grades K-7 will be June 20-21 from 9 a.m. to noon at Aledo Middle School; meet by the flagpole. Cost is $70 per camper per session. Returning campers can choose from four advanced rockets while first year students assemble their beginning rockets. Campers will discover air dynamics, safety practices for rocketry, career opportunities in space, and launch their own rocket at 11 a.m. on the last day of each camp.
