The Jeff Mittie Summer Basketball Academy for boys and girls entering grades 5-12 will be at Aledo High School on June 6-9th, 13-16, 20-23 and 27-30 from 8:45 to 10 a.m. Cost is $250 for registration prior to June 1 and $300 after June 1. Mrs. Schweitzer’s Marine Biology Camp will be June 22-23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is $65, and campers should bring a sack lunch. Campers will uncover the world below the ocean and follow the “Voyage of the MIMI” discoveries.

The “Egg”ceptional Bird class for grades K-7 will be June 20-21 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Aledo Middle School. Cost is $40. Examine an owl pellet, write with feathers and play the beak game. Campers will discover the world of an ornithologist with Mrs. Schweitzer.

Mrs. Schweitzer’s Brain Power Class for grades K-7 will be June 15-16 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Aledo Middle School. Cost is $40. The campers will learn that no part of the brain works alone when they explore the parts of the brain through hands-on activities.

Session II of Mrs. Schweitzer’s Paleontology Camp for grades K-7 will be June 8-9 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Aledo Middle School. Cost is $40 per camper per session. The campers will look through the eyes of paleontologists to study dinosaurs. Session I and II will cover different aspects of the dinosaur.
