Aledo graduates filled coliseum at TCU Graduates, accompanied by their family and friends, filled Daniel Meyer Coliseum on the Texas Christian University campus on Monday, June 8 to bid farewell to high school.

Deputies stopped two men in the 1000 block of Bailey Ranch Road around 2 a.m. Sunday June 7, 2009, which led to their arrest for criminal mischief at Aledo High School.

Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said deputies observed the men placing a pad from a field goal post in the cab of a pickup truck in the school’s parking lot near the football field.

In an "Alert Now" message to parents of school children in Aledo ISD, Superintendent Don Daniel made this statement:

“This is Don Daniel, superintendent of the Aledo ISD, with an important health message. District officials received notification on Wednesday, June 3, 2009, that a student enrolled at Stuard Elementary (School) had a confirmed case of the Swine Flu.

An early morning accident on Friday, May 22 involving a small black Honda and an Aledo Independent School district bus, resulting in the injury of one. The driver of the Honda was transported to Weatherford Regional Medical Center via a LifeCare ambulance.

The Aledo High School 'Current Issues' and 'Literary Criticism' teams each captured state championships Tuesday at the University Interscholastic League state academic meet in Austin.

The Current Issues team collected 65 points and had four finishers in the top 14 to place first overall in that category at the UIL meet.

1K Fun RunParticipants in the Aledo AdvoCats Run, Walk or Crawl for Our Kids get ready at the start line for the 1K Fun Run. This was the fourth annual Run, Walk or Crawl hosted by the non-profit organization, which raises funds to help families in need in the Aledo Independent School District.
