A home located in a gated community off of FM-1187 in Aledo was struck by lightning Thrusday evening during a thunderstorm. No one was hurt.
Morris Leondar, assistant fire chief of the Aledo Volunteer Fire Department, said the lightning struck an attic vent on the roof of the house at 131 Bent Tree and cause a minor fire inside the attic.
The home is owned by Martin and Pamela Terry who own and operate Terry's Lawn Care.

Ken Hawkins had a lot to say Monday.
In the late afternoon the Willow Park Mayor addressed his decision to remove citizen comments from the agenda of city council meetings, but by Monday evening had come up with a solution to give what he called the correct procedure.
For the past two months, March and April, Hawkins used his mayoral power to remove the citizen comment portion of the city council agenda. The reason, he said, was because citizens were not addressing current agenda items.
