The Friends of the East Parker County Library held their annual Garden Party today at the historic Hood cabin on Jenkins Road. The weather cooperated for the "rain or shine" event and numerous supporters of the library found much to enjoy. More photos will be in the May 27 issue of The Community News.

On Tuesday, April 12, the west bound IH-20 access road from Santa Fe/FM2552 to South Main/SH171/FM51 will open to through traffic. In conjunction, the newly constructed IH-20 entrance on-ramp between Santa Fe and South Main will also open. As a result, the existing on-ramp, just west of Santa Fe, will permanently close. Within the same area, the Holland Lake Drive connection to the IH-20 west bound access road from Washington Drive will also open to through traffic.
In addition, on Wednesday, April 13, the east bound to west bound South Main/SH171/FM51 U-turn Bridge will open. In conjunction with this opening, the new east bound 409 off-ramp to Santa Fe/FM 2552 will open, and the existing 409 exit ramp at Santa Fe will permanently close.
