East Parker County Genealogy and Historical Society moves collection

An agreement was recently reached with Candy Scott, City of Willow Park Administrator, and the organization’s Vice-President, Kay W. Davis, for the 1000+ holdings of the EPCGHS to be moved to the Willow Park Community Center at the corner of Ranch House Road and Stagecoach Road West. The agreement allows the organization to utilize the city’s previous Park and Recreation office.
A very warm, handmade stadium blanket will go to the highest bidder following the silent auction at Aledo National Bank, located south of downtown Aledo in the strip center on the east side of FM 1187.
The silent auction is under way and will conclude Dec. 18.
Proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the Moke family to help cover Hunter’s funeral expenses. The Aledo High School senior died Nov. 16.
The stadium blanket is orange and black and has a paw-print pattern. It is double-layered fleece with tie knots. It is on display at the bank where citizens can make a bid on it.
