A company named Elite Designs is soliciting local business for advertisement on a football calendar poster. Elite Designs is NOT affiliated with the Aledo Athletic Department. Elite Designs keep 100 percent of the funds solicited and does not donate any money back to AISD.
Two legitimate groups working with the AISDS athletic department: The Aledo Athletic Booster Club and J. Mott Services both donate funds to local athletic teams.

The Aledo Ladycats took a two game lead in district by defeating Brewer 7-4 last night at Brewer. Brewer came into the game one game behind the Ladycats, who remain undefeated in district. A full story and game photos will be available in the April 1 issue of The Community News.
The Aledo Athletic Booster Club is sponsoring “Meet the Bearcats and Ladycats” from 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 28 at the Aledo High School baseball/softball fields. The first 100 boys and first 100 girls will receive a free baseball or softball for autographs of the Bearcat players.
A motor vehicle sideswiped an Aledo ISD School Bus on Canyon Lake Road this afternoon. None of the students on the bus were injured. Aledo ISD Superintendent, Don Daniel, said ISD Officials were on the scene and notifying parents of the students remaining on the bus at the time of the incident.

Aledo star running back Johnathan Gray can now associate his name with the great Tom Landry. Gray was presented with the Tom Landry Award for being the best high school football player in North Texas. The award, in its first year of presentation, is awarded to players that excell on and off the field.
Gray and Aledo head coach Tim Buchanan were handed the bronze award live on TXA 21 Thursday night. The award is a replica of Landry's signature fedora.
