Board renews superintendent contract

Randy Keck/The Community News: The Aledo Independent School District Board of Trustees recognized the Bearcat football team for winning its third consecutive state championship at its meeting on Monday, Jan. 23. The AISD board extended the contract of Superintendent Dan Manning until June 30, 2014 at its regular meeting on Monday, Jan. 23. The board also approved a $31,000 contract to supplement science textbooks with online resources, and passed new policies regarding procedures for reductions in force.
