Notice of Training Meeting
A Training Meeting of the Board of Trustees of Aledo ISD will be held October 24, 2011, beginning at 6:00 PM in the Aledo ISD Administration Walsh Training Room. This meeting is called expressly for the purpose of continuing education. If, during the course of the meeting, discussion of any item on the agenda should be held in a closed meeting, the board will conduct a closed meeting in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Tex. Gov't Code, Chapter 551, Subchapters D and E.

Dan ManningIn a specially called Monday morning, the Aledo ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to name Dan Manning as Lone Finalist for the position of Superintendent. The Board now has 21 days to finalize a contract. Manning has served the district since 2008 as Executive Director of Administration, and was named the district's Interim Superintendent in May upon the retirement of Don Daniel.

Members of the Aledo ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to name the Aledo High School Ninth Grade Center in honor of retiring Superintendent Don Daniel. In introducing the subject, School Board President Joe Dearing said there is no better way to honor an educator than to name a school after him.

The Aledo ISD Pre-Kindergarten/Kindergarten Roundup for 2011-2012 is under way and will continue through Friday, March 25.
Registration will be available for Pre-K/K students from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Extended hours on Tuesday go until 6 p.m.
