Invitation to Bid on construction for the City of Aledo, Parker County, Texas on:

Street Rehabilitation for portions of E. Oak Street and Mesquite Trail. The work is to include furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, and performing all work necessary for the construction and other associated improvements detailed in the contract documents and specifications.

Sealed bids addressed to Ms. Kathleen Wedell, City Secretary, City of Aledo City Hall, 200 Old Annetta Road, Aledo, Texas 76008 will be received until 1:00 P.M., CDST, May 18, 2010 at which time and place the proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud and retained by the City for tabulation, checking, and evaluation.

Rehabilitation of a portion of existing 6” Sanitary Sewer in Hidden Valley Drive. The work consists of approximately 900 LF of removal and replacement of existing 6" sanitary sewer line with 8” sanitary sewer line, removal and replacement of 4 manholes, construction of 1 manhole, and associated appurtenances. The work is to include furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, and performing all work necessary for the construction and other associated improvements detailed in the contract documents and specifications.

Notice is hereby given that the polling places listed below will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2010, for voting in a general election to elect the positions of Mayor, City Council Place 2, and City Council Place 4.

Early voting by personal appearance shall be conducted beginning on April 26, 2010 and continuing through May 4, 2010 at the Aledo Community Center, 104 Robinson Court, Aledo, Texas 76008 on each day that is not a Saturday, Sunday, or state holiday at the following times:

Monday, April 26, 2010: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
