A car lost control on FM-1187 around 2:30 p.m. Monday after the driver appeared to have lost control.

Cody Pope, 24, of Aledo, witnessed the accident and said the female driver of the vehicle (which also had a baby and another female passenger inside) began to swerve before she drove sideways into an open lot near the Edward Jones office, hit a wood sign and eventually flipped over.

While it was unclear at the accident scene which female occupant was driving, it is unclear about the extent of the injuries suffered. One of the women had cuts on the left cheek of her face and appeared to be bleeding from her left ear.
