The Aledo volleyball teams continued to roll over district opponents with wins over Keller Timber Creek on Tuesday, Oct. 18. The JV lost the first game 16-25, but came back to win 25-18, 25-15.
Aledo's varsity won 25-18, 25-13, 25-13.

The Aledo Ladycats will face their main district nemesis, Byron Nelson, in volleyball on Friday. Local sports fans are encouraged to go to the game and support their local team prior to the Aledo-Byron Nelson football game. JV action begins at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity game starts at 6:30 p.m. in the AHS gym. Freshman games will also be played at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the practice gym.

Beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, Aledo ISD will provide shuttles for the Bearcat Homecoming football game. Due to expected overflow traffic, buses will run between Willow Park Baptist Church and Bearcat Stadium; between Aledo United Methodist Church and Bearcat Stadium; and between Aledo Middle School and Bearcat Stadium.
Willow Park Baptist Church is located at 129 S. Ranch House Road in Willow Park; Aledo United Methodist Church is at 313 Pecan St. in Aledo and Aledo Middle School is at 416 FM 1187 South.
The Aledo High School Theatre Department’s production of “A Gap in Generations” begins Wednesday, Sept. 28 at the AHS Auditorium. The play is a re-worked Commedia dell’Arte by Jerry Blunt that, as performed, will be set in Aledo in the 1980s. Performance dates are Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 28-29, and Saturday, Oct. 1. All shows begin at 7 p.m. Admission for adults is $8 and for students is $5. For reservations, call 817-441-5139.
