Tickets will be sold for $1, admission to the haunted house is five tickets.
Yesterday, the Aledo High School Bearcat Regiment was one of five bands to advance from a field of 25 to the UIL State Marching Competition in San Antonio next week. Other area bands advancing were Frisco Centennial High School, NRH Birdville High School, Frisco Wakeland High School and Fort Worth Southwest High School.

Aledo High School has announced that tonight's Oct. 23 football game vs. Burleson will now begin at 6 p.m.
All parent night activities schedule for Oct. 23 are being moved to the Nov. 6 football game.
Bearcat Alley has also been moved to the Nov. 6 game.
The Aledo High School Band program will present its popular Night at the Pops concerts at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, May 22-23 at the Aledo High School Auditorium.
The theme for this year's Night at the Pops Concert is the music of Universal Studios and Disney. Performances will feature the AHS Band, AHS Colorguard, AHS Choir and other very special guests. Donations will be accepted at the door.
Night at the Pops is a production that has wonderful music, lights, explosions, costumes, acting, magic, video, audience participation, dancing and just fun entertainment. Seating is limited so show up early.
There’s a kick-off to state pep rally after final exams Friday, Dec. 19, at 1 p.m. in the Aledo High School gym. Everyone is welcome to attend. Bring family, friends and neighbors to cheer the Aledo Bearcats on to victory. Wear your favorite orange and black spirit shirts and be prepared to cheer on the team.

Trailing two games to one to rival Granbury in a regional final volleyball match in Abilene, the Aledo Ladycats rallied to take the next two games to win the match in five games and earn a trip to the Class 5A state volleyball tournament next week in Garland.
The Ladycats fell 28-26 in the opening game but squared the match with a 25-20 win in game two.
Granbury took game three, 25-19, to put pressure on the Ladycats as the Lady Pirates led 2-1 in games.
With the pressure on, the Ladycats followed with their strongest game of the match.
Aledo jumped out to a 13-5 lead and cruised to a 25-15 win to tie the match at 2-2.
Aledo High School class schedule pickup dates are as follows:
Aug. 20, 1 p.m. – Seniors
Aug. 21, 9 a.m. – Juniors
Aug. 21, 1 p.m. – Sophomores
Students must bring proof of residency with them. The accepted proof of residency is the latest utility bill (gas, water or electricity) only. If the student cannot obtain one of these items, they are encouraged to contact the counselors’ office at 871-441-5170. Class schedules will not be handed out without this proof. Students on the missing book list will also need to bring the book (or payment) to receive their schedule.

Aledo defeated Buda Hay 6-5 Friday afternoon to advance to Saturday's state championship softball game.
The Ladycats will face Ennis, an 8-7 winner over Barbers Hill, at 1 p.m. Saturday in Austin.
The award-winning Aledo High School Colorguard, part of the Bearcat regiment, is holding tryouts for new members, for students in grades 8-11.
Tryouts are April 21, 22 and 24. Times are 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on the 21st and 22nd and 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the 24th at the high school band hall.
Wear comfortable clothes, no denim.
