Aledo defeats Cleburne 45-7 in Bi-District Playoff Game

November 16, 2012 by Ken Hoover

A 7:30 kickoff coming up.....

Aledo will recieve to start the game. A short kick put the Bearcats in business at tgeir own 38 yard line.

Two first downs later they work from the Cleburne 38 yard line when a Pate Davis to Willie Gibson pass play covers 20 yards to the Yellow Jacket 18. The drive stalls, and the Bearcats settle for a Chance Nevarez Field Goal to take the lead at 3-0 with 8:13 left in the first quarter.

A nice defensive series by the Bearcats gets them the ball back at their 38 yard line. They are unable to move the ball, and a short punt gives the Yellow Jackets the ball at their 48 yard line.

On their first play, Brock Parker intercepts a pass and gets Aledo another shot from their 25 yard line.

Pate Davis breaks a 21 yard run for a first down at the 38. Jess Anders up the middle for another first down at the 48. Taco Anderson from Pate Davis to the 24.

Lots of Jess Anders is finished off by a 2 yard run by Pate Davis for the touchdown. PAT is good and the Bearcats lead is 10-0 in the second quarter.

Cleburne mishandles the kickoff and starts their possession inside their own 10 yard line. They are unable to move the ball much on offense.

Aledo takes over at the Cleburne 32. Pate Davis gets outside to the right side and takes the ball all the way to the Yellow Jacket's 12 yard line. Pate picks up another first down at the 2 yard line and Jess takes it in from there. 17-0 Bearcats after the Nevarez PAT.
