Aledo High School basketball and soccer teams continue District 6-5A play today with three of the four teams going on the road.

The AHS basketball teams will play at Northwest High School.

The Ladycats, a game behind first-place Boswell, will take a five-game winning streak into the contest against the Lady Texans, who are seeking their first district win.

Tip off is at 6:30 p.m. at Northwest High School.

The Bearcats and Texans played a close game the last time these two teams met, but Northwest, ranked No. 2 in the state, came away with a 52-46 win. The Bearcats, still mathematically alive for a playoff spot, are a game behind the fourth-place pack of Saginaw, Boswell and Eaton.
