Glenn O. Shaw, 94, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017. Glenn was born March 11, 1923 to Ivy and Bertha Shaw in Aledo. He joined the U.S. Air Force and fought in World War II. He later retired from Exxon after 31 years of dedicated service and moved to Weatherford in 1979 into one of the three houses he built by himself. In his spare time, Glenn liked to play ping pong and watch the Dallas Cowboys. He was also incredibly proud of his cattle farm, hauling hay until he was 80 years old. Glenn was a devoted Baptist who regularly attended church. His sense of humor and loving personality will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family expressed appreciation to the private caregivers who always took great care of Glenn. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Thelma Davis Shaw; daughter, Janice Shive and husband, John; sons, Ronnie Shaw and wife, Patricia, and Donnie Shaw and wife, Diane; grandchildren, Shea Shaw, Lacey Eddleman, Tim Shive, Amber Macias, Amy Ferguson, and Aaron Shaw; 14 great-grandchildren and one on the way; brothers, Harold Shaw and wife Tommy, Nolan Shaw and wife, Jane, and Ricky Shaw and wife, Darla. The funeral service was scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, June 17 at White's Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Interment will be at East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 16 at White's Funeral Home.
