Ladycats move to 5-2 in 6-5A after 6-1 win; Boswell hands Bearcats first district loss

Aledo pitcher Hannah Andrews limited Boswell to five hits while also striking out four as the Ladycats defeated the Lady Pioneers, 6-1, Tuesday night in a District 6-5A softball game at AHS.

The win raises the Ladycats' district mark to 5-2.

Andrews also helped herself out at the plate with two hits and two runs batted in, and Caden Cunningham also recorded a pair of hits. Brynn Hellman (sacrifice fly), Lindsey McElroy (sacrifice fly) and Mykayla Stroud (single) each drove in a run in the Ladycats' three-run sixth inning.

Boswell 9, Bearcats 6

Boswell scored nine unanswered runs in the final two frames to come back from a 6-0 deficit to take a 9-6 win over the Aldo Bearcats Tuesday night in a District 6-5A baseball game at AHS.

The loss drops the Bearcats to 4-1 in district play.

Boswell scored seven runs in the sixth - swatting seven hits and taking advantage of an error - to take a 7-6 lead. The Pioneers added a pair of runs in the seventh to close the scoring.
