Ladycats, Bearcats continue 6-5A diamond action today at home against Brewer

Both the Aledo Ladycats softball team and the Bearcats baseball squad will continue respective District 6-5A play today at home against Brewer.

The Ladycats will bring a 2-2 district mark into the contest to face an 0-4 Brewer squad seeking its first league win. Both teams are coming off losses last week.

The game is set for 6:30 p.m. today at the AHS softball field.

The Bearcats and Brewer will play to determine who will stand alone at top of 6-5A as both teams come into the contest at 2-0 and tied for first place.

The Bearcats began district play with wins over Azle and Eaton, while the Bears defeated Boswell and Chisholm Trail to get to 2-0.

The first pitch will be at 7:30 p.m. today at the AHS baseball field.
