Both Aledo High School soccer teams will begin the Class 5A playoffs on Friday at Denton High School's on-campus football/soccer stadium.
The Ladycats will face Denton Ryan at 6 p.m. in the girls' bi-district playoffs, and the Bearcats will follow in a boys' bi-district match at approximately 8 p.m. against Sherman.
The winner of the Ladycats/Ryan match will face the winner of the Fort Worth South Hills/Richland match next week in the area playoffs.
The winner of the Bearcats/Sherman match will face the winner of the Fort Worth Arlington Heights/Fort Worth Poly match in the area playoffs next week.
