Both the Aledo Ladycats and Bearcats soccer teams defeated Boswell Friday in respective District 6-5A finales.
Bearcats 3, Boswell 1
The Bearcats ran the table in 6-5A with a 14-0 record after defeating Boswell at Boswell, 3-1, in the boys' district finale.
Max Owens, Noah Hill and Brandon Wrinkle each scored a goal, with Alvaro Huerta-Martin recording two assists and Jarrod Nelson adding a helper.
Ladycats 1, Boswell 0
Bre Aguliar scored a goal from 25 yards out in the first half on an assist from Brooke Jones for the lone score in the Ladycats' win over Boswell.
Junior goalkeeper Makenzie Covington earned the shutout as she turned away three Boswell shots.
Both Aledo teams will take a week off during spring break, and the bi-district playoffs will begin on March 24. Opponents, sites and games times have yet to be determined.
