No. 11 Ladycats sweep Chisholm Trail, 25-17, 25-15, 25-17 to stay on top of 6-5A standings

Paced by a match-high 12 kills by hitter Maddie Goings and 10 kills each from hitters Amanda Norman and Emily Smith, the state-ranked No. 11 Aledo Ladycats defeated the Chisholm Trail Lady Rangers, 25-17, 25-15, 25-17 Tuesday night in a District 6-5A volleyball match at the AHS gym.

The win raises the Ladycats' overall record to 33-8 and 11-1 in district play.

The Ladycats will continue district play at 6:30 p.m. Friday at home against Brewer.

Setter Erin Weiss produced a match-high 43 assists and added 11 digs, and Goings led in digs with 16. Hitter Brecken Roquemore finished with seven kills.

Aledo swept sub-varsity play. The Ladycats junior varsity remains unbeaten in district play after a 25-10, 25-15 win, and the freshman ladies cruised to a 25-12, 25-15 victory.
