Percy Hill died Thursday, October 13, 2016 just shy of his 86th Birthday. Percy was born to Percy Dee “Pete” and Johnnie Hill on November 2, 1930 in Vernon, Texas and shortly joined by his brother, Ray Hill.  The family moved to Fort Worth where Percy graduated from Poly High School in 1949. He served in the United States Marine Corp before attending Decatur Baptist College. After college he took a job with the railroad where he was offered a sales job with State Farm Insurance. In May of 1956 he became a State Farm Agent. During this time he worked tirelessly to develop relationships and build his business which flourished into a successful 44 Year career before his retirement in December 2000. Percy's life was full of family, fun vacations and traveling, playing golf with friends and building relationships. He had a knack for bringing people of all walks of life together.He lived each day to the fullest capacity and was always there to help anyone in need. Percy was a founding member of the Lake Country Men's Golf Association until he retired and moved to his favorite course at Sugar Tree where he lived with his wife, Zoe. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dennis, Texas. Percy is survived by a large family and many friends who admired and respected him. He is preceded in death by wife; Elaine, parents; Pete and Johnnie, brother; Ray, son; Wayne and granddaughter; Jessika. He is survived by his wife, Zoe; children; Paul Bennett and wife Francis, Bruce Hill and wife Carol, Julia Hill, Ronda Baker and husband Steve, Janet Spracklen and husband Robert, Toni Clark and husband Tom and Robert Cryer; grandchildren, Harmony, Ashley, Sabra, Brandie, Tommy, Zachary, Brandon, Jason, Jacqueline, Jeremy and eight great-children. The funeral was scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 18 at First Baptist Church in Dennis. Burial was Tuesday, October, 18 at Laurel Land Memorial Park.
