Fort Worth man arrested in connection to aggravated robberies

showmugshot-aspxA Fort Worth man was arrested in connection with two aggravated robberies occurring over the weekend.

Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 13000 block of White Settlement Road, in Parker County, at the Hilltop Mart convenience store Saturday evening around 9 p.m.

The clerk reported the suspect entered Hilltop Mart and walked to the rear of the store, taking a water bottle. The suspect then walked to the front of the store and placed the water bottle on the counter.

The clerk rang up the water when the suspect pointed a handgun at her demanding money.

The clerk told deputies she was in fear of her life when the suspect threatened her with the weapon. She gave the suspect the money from the register and he fled the store on foot. The suspect was described as a tall, black male in his early 20s, wearing a blue “Duke” hoodie, black wind pants and black and white tennis shoes.

While Sheriff’s Crime Scene personnel were conducting their investigation at the scene, deputies were notified of another similar aggravated robbery which took place a few hours afterward in the 6900 block of Confederate Park Road at a Tarrant County convenience store with the suspect matching the same description and clothing as the suspect in the Parker County robbery.

Tarrant County deputies located the suspect walking a short distance away from where the Fort Worth convenience store robbery took place on Billings Road in Fort Worth carrying a backpack containing a 9 mm handgun, the blue hoodie , ball cap and black wind pants described by the victims of both robberies. The suspect was also in possession of $840 in cash.

The suspect was identified as Jordan Michael Hunt, 21, of Fort Worth. He was booked into the Tarrant County Jail on charges of aggravated robbery.

Parker County Sheriff’s investigators served the warrant on Hunt for the Hilltop Mart aggravated robbery Monday.

His total bond was set at $125,000.

Hunt faces separate first-degree felony charges of aggravated robbery in both counties.

The weapon Hunt used in the commission of the aggravated robberies was later confirmed stolen out of Fort Worth.
