Ladycats sweep Brewer for third consecutive District 6-5A win

Aledo senior hitter Maddie Goings sent down a match-high 12 kills and added 11 digs and classmate Emily Smith recorded 10 kills to help the Ladycats to a 25-15, 25-12, 25-12 victory over Brewer in a District 6-5A volleyball match Tuesday night at Brewer.

The win raises the Ladycats' district record to 5-1, while Brewer drops to 2-4.

Senior setter Erin Weiss finished with a match-high 26 assists; junior hitter Sarah Haeussler added six kills and a pair of blocks; and senior hitter Amanda Norman finished with seven kills.

The Ladycats swept sub-varsity matches. The junior varsity rolled to a 25-12, 25-12 win, and the freshman Ladycats swept Brewer, 25-21, 25-13.
