Volleyball Ladycats back in full swing; changes made for Saturday home scrimmage

Back on the court to prepare for the 2016 season, the Aledo Ladycats volleyball team has began two-a-day practices at the Don Daniel Ninth Grade Campus gym.

The Ladycats will finish their second day of workouts with a second practice today that runs from 3-6 p.m. at the ninth grade gym.

The Ladycats will stick to their two-a-day schedule through Thursday and will end the week with home scrimmages on Friday and Saturday at the Daniel Ninth Grade Campus gym.

On Friday, the Ladycats varsity will play at 10 a.m. against Peaster; 11:20 a.m. against Keller and at 12:40 p.m. against Denton Ryan. All games will be at the ninth-grade main gym. Freshman and JV games begin at 10 a.m.

On Saturday, head coach Kathy Goings announced changes in the schedule from the original scheduled times. All games will be played at the ninth grade campus gym.

The Ladycats will face Wichita Falls Rider at 9 a.m. followed by an 11:40 a.m. game against Decatur. The Aledo varsity will conclude the scrimmage with a match up against Weatherford at 12:20 p.m.

The JV will play at 9:40 a.m., 11:40 a.m. and 12:20 p.m.,with the freshman A team playing at 9 a.m., 11:40 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. The freshman B team will play at 9:40 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Games last 30 minutes both days of scrimmages with a 10-minute break for warm ups in between games.
