Ladycats will face Fort Worth North Side in bi-district softball playoffs

The two-time defending state champion Aledo Ladycats will face Fort Worth North Side next week in a Class 5A, Region I bi-district softball series.

The Ladycats finished the District 8-5A season with a 10-4 record and will assume the district's second seed. Joshua, also with a 10-4 league mark, will assume the third seed. The Ladycats earned the second seed by sweeping Joshua in district play.

North Side is the third seed from District 7-5A.

Game 1 of the best-of-3 series will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 28 at North Side High School.

Game 2 will be at 7 p.m. Friday, April 29 at Aledo. Game 3, if necessary, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30 at Aledo.
